Job summary

Tych Business Solutions in Franschhoek is seeking an Assistant Hotel Manager to support the Hotel Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences and to oversee daily operations across Front Office, Housekeeping and F&B.

The ideal candidate will lead a capable hospitality team, manage rosters and training, monitor guest feedback and costs, and help drive continuous service improvements in a fast-paced luxury environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Hospitality Management or Tourism would be beneficial.
• Valid Driver’s Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Hotel Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations and ensuring exceptional guest service.
• Ensure compliance with hotel standards, policies and procedures across Front Office, Housekeeping and F&B.
• Lead, motivate and develop the hotel team through effective people management, training and performance management.
• Monitor guest feedback, preferences and complaints to drive service excellence and continuous improvement.
• Oversee staffing, rosters, attendance and operational costs.
• Monitor stock, equipment, suppliers and inventory to ensure operational efficiency and minimise waste.
• Assist with budgeting, financial controls and reconciliation procedures.
• Oversee Night Audit procedures and ensure accurate daily financial reporting.
• Ensure SOPs and quality standards are consistently maintained and implemented.
• Identify and implement opportunities for operational and service improvement
