Job summary

Authentic Life Connections in Gauteng is seeking a seasoned accountant to manage debtors, creditors and bank-clearing, ensuring ledgers are reconciled and current with tight discipline across sub-ledgers and expenses. You will lead a three-person team and cover the Financial Manager when required.

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting degree with completed articles preferred.
• 6+ years hands-on processing and reconciliation experience.
• Strong Excel skills; Hyperion experience is a bonus.
• Experience supervising a small team or readiness to take on that role.
• Structured, disciplined processing and meticulous account maintenance.
• Analytical mindset to spot anomalies in numbers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full debtors, creditors and bank-clearing function, keeping every ledger reconciled and current
• Maintain tight discipline across sub-ledgers, expense processing and payments, with accounts kept consistently up to date
• Monitor debtors and creditors ageing closely, flagging anything that looks unusual for further investigation
• Lead a team of three, supporting their day-to-day output and holding the line on accuracy and turnaround
• Step in for the Financial Manager when needed
• Use Excel (Hyperion knowledge is a bonus) to build clean, efficient processes for reconciliations and reporting
• Support the team through month-end close, keeping documentation and controls audit ready

Desired Experience and Qualifications

• BCom Accounting degree (completed articles preferred), with solid 6+ years of hands-on processing and reconciliation experience
• Advanced Excel skills are essential; Hyperion experience is a bonus
• Experience managing or supervising a small team, or clear readiness to step into that responsibility
• A structured, disciplined approach to processing and account maintenance, comfortable holding a high standard for accuracy

Package and Remuneration

R 750000 – R 850000 per annum
