Job Purpose
The Western Cape Mobility Department, Western Cape Government (WCG) have an exciting employment opportunity for a suitable qualified and competent individual to manage the Walk-In Centre at Vangate. The successful incumbent must be able to work under pressure, willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines.
An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree or higher qualification) ; A minimum of 5 years' supervisory experience.

Knowledge of and working experience in:
Interpret and implement legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices relevant to the line functions; use information systems that support the management of knowledge and information relating to the line function; administer the National Land Transport Act (Act No. 5 of 2009); administer the Road Transportation Act (Act No. 74 of 1977); administer the Western Cape Road Transportation Amendment Law Act (Act No. 8 of 1996); implement the National Land Transport Regulations, 2009; manage the functions, activities, processes and procedures of a Walk-In-Centre; process applications for operating licences; manage financial management, monitoring and reporting procedures, systems and reports of the Directorate; perform general office administration and database management; manage financial processes in accordance with the Public Finance Management Act, 1999, National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions and other applicable financial policies, prescripts, directives and collective agreements; perform numeracy, literacy and computer-related functions; manage projects; plan and organise activities and resources; compile and write reports; provide leadership; communicate effectively in writing and verbally; deliver presentations; influence and motivate stakeholders; analyse information and data; maintain effective interpersonal relationships; resolve conflicts; coach and mentor staff; work effectively under pressure; work irregular hours when required; meet tight deadlines.
Remuneration
R 487 197- R 573 897 per annum (Salary level 9).
