The Western Cape Mobility Department, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to provide general support services through integrated and compliant financial, procurement, logistical and administrative support, to enable effective Chief Directorate service delivery.
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification). A minimum of 5 years relevant experience;

Management of Transport Services in the Department; Promotion of Occupational Health and Safety in the Department; Provision of Effective and Efficient Facility Management (Accommodation); Management of Functions in Terms of the Government Immovable Asset Management Act; Managerial functions;
Legislative, Regulatory and Policy Frameworks; legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices applicable to support services within the public sector; Government Immovable Asset Management Act (GIAMA) and related accommodation and asset management prescripts, including inputs to the; User Asset Management Plan (UAMP); Occupational Health and Safety; (OHS) legislation, regulations and departmental health and safety frameworks; transport-related prescripts, includingpolicies governing the management and utilisation of government and subsidised vehicles; the Public FinanceManagement Act (PFMA), National and Provincial Treasury Regulations, and relevant financial policies, directives and instructions applicable to operational support environments; Labour Relationslegislation, regulations and collective agreements applicable to the public service; Operational and Management Knowledg
Numeracy; Literacy; Computer literacy (including standard office applications and electronic record-keeping systems); Language and communication skills (verbal and written); Accounting, finance and audit skills (basic budgeting, expenditure monitoring and controls).
R 487 197- R 573 897 per annum (Salary level 9)
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.

All shortlisted candidates shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
