UNITEC is seeking an Area Manager in South Africa to grow and strengthen our presence in the agro-industrial market. You will develop, maintain and strengthen relationships with existing and potential customers, visiting facilities to understand needs, gather technical information, and support customized solutions and commercial proposals.

You will manage projects through all phases, from initial assessment to commissioning and start-up of the processing line, with travel across the region.

Formación

• Experience in fruit & vegetable sector, agro-processing, and/or industrial machinery.
• Technical degree is a plus.
• Willingness to travel across the region.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• High levels of clarity, transparency, and professionalism.
• Strong listening, interpersonal abilities, and customer-focused mindset.
• Proven problem-solving skills, reliability, and attention to detail.

Area Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated person to join our Sales Department and support the development the South African area. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with both existing and potential customers within the agro-industrial market. The role includes regular visits to customer facilities to understand operational needs, collect technical information, and support the development of customized solutions and commercial proposals. The candidate will follow each project through all its phases, from initial assessment to the commissioning and start-up of the processing line.

Requirements:

• Experience in the fruit & vegetable sector, agro-processing, and/or industrial machinery.


• Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with industrial or agricultural processes (a technical degree is a plus).


• Willingness and flexibility to travel across the region.


• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.


• High levels of clarity, transparency, and professionalism.


• Strong listening, interpersonal abilities, and customer-focused mindset.


• Proven problem-solving skills, reliability, and attention to detail.
