About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to support their architectural team in Richards Bay . This role is crucial for transforming design concepts into precise technical drawings and documentation required for construction. You will work closely with architects and designers, contributing directly to the visual representation and technical detailing of various building projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a professional architectural setting, contributing to the development of diverse structures and playing a key part in the project lifecycle, based in the coastal city of KwaZulu-Natal.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, using CAD software.
• Assist architects and designers in developing schematic designs and design development documentation.
• Prepare and update construction drawings based on revisions and feedback from the project team.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards, company protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Organize and maintain project drawing files and archives for easy access and retrieval.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to incorporate their input into architectural drawings as required.

Requirements

• A qualification in Architectural Drafting, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Architectural Drafter or similar role, with a portfolio showcasing drafting skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with Revit is a strong advantage.
• A strong understanding of architectural drafting principles and construction terminology.
