About the Role

Our client is looking for a vibrant and experienced Aquatics Director to manage all aspects of water-based activities and facilities at their premier luxury resort located in Durban . This role requires a dynamic leader to ensure the highest standards of safety, guest experience, and operational efficiency for swimming pools, water sports, and related services. You will lead a dedicated team of lifeguards, instructors, and activity coordinators, developing engaging programs and maintaining impeccable facility standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, possesses strong management acumen, and is committed to providing memorable aquatic experiences for resort guests of all ages.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of all resort pools, water parks, and aquatic facilities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop and implement a diverse schedule of aquatic activities, including swimming lessons, water aerobics, and recreational events.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise all aquatics staff, including lifeguards and instructors.
• Manage the budget for the aquatics department, controlling expenses related to staffing, supplies, and maintenance.
• Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper maintenance of all aquatic equipment and facilities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in aquatics management, preferably within the hospitality or leisure industry.
• Current Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications are mandatory.
