Qualifications

• Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrable passion for cooking and culinary arts.
• Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen hygiene.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Mahikeng.
• Must be legally authorized to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking and plating under supervision.
• Learn fundamental culinary techniques, knife skills, sauces, and basic pastry work.
• Maintain high hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen.
• Assist with stock control, inventory management, and deliveries.
• Learn and adhere to recipes and presentation standards.
• Organize kitchen stations and equipment.
• Participate in menu development and event preparations.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
• Follow the restaurant's procedures and standards.
• Attend culinary training sessions and workshops as required.
• Manage time effectively to meet service demands.
