Placements24 is seeking passionate individuals to join a renowned fine-dining restaurant in Soweto, Gauteng, for an Apprentice Chef position. Based on-site, you will train under award-winning chefs and participate in all kitchen operations, from prep to plating.

This hands-on apprenticeship emphasizes cuisine mastery, hygiene, teamwork, and professional growth in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients and components for menu items.
• Learn and execute various cooking techniques under supervision.
• Participate in the plating and presentation of dishes to fine-dining standards.
• Maintain strict standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Contribute to inventory management and stock rotation.
• Learn and follow recipes accurately.
• Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning duties.
• Engage in ongoing training and development sessions.
• Support the head chef and sous chefs in daily kitchen operations.
