Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aerodrome Operations Officer in Centurion to manage daily airport operations, ensuring safety, efficiency and regulatory compliance across all activities.

You will coordinate with ATC, airlines and emergency services, implement procedures, and drive operational improvements while maintaining a high standard of serviceability and security at the aerodrome.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Aviation Management or Airport Operations.
• Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders.
• Willingness for irregular hours and handling high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor aerodrome activities including flight movements, parking and ground traffic.
• Ensure compliance with national and international aviation regulations.
• Develop and implement aerodrome procedures and emergency plans.
• Coordinate with air traffic services, airlines, security and emergency services.
• Inspect aerodrome infrastructure to ensure safety and serviceability.
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
