Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Ground Operations Supervisor to oversee all ground handling activities at our Rustenburg facility. You will lead a team, ensure safety and efficiency of baggage handling, aircraft marshalling, passenger boarding, and cargo loading, and maintain high service standards.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years in a supervisory role within airport ground operations, with strong leadership and communication skills, and a solid understanding of safety protocols

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in airport ground operations or similar.
• Strong knowledge of ground handling procedures and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours in a demanding operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the ground handling team and ensure tasks are completed safely and on schedule.
• Monitor aircraft turnaround processes and implement strategies to reduce delays.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and airline requirements.
• Conduct training sessions and performance evaluations for ground staff.
• Manage equipment and resource allocation to meet operational needs.
• Serve as primary contact for airline representatives and ensure service levels are met.
