Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and certified Aircraft Mechanic specializing in Line Maintenance to join their operational team in Vereeniging. You will be responsible for performing daily checks, routine servicing, and troubleshooting of aircraft on the flight line to ensure they are airworthy and ready for service. This role is vital for maintaining operational efficiency and upholding the highest safety standards within the airline industry. You will work in a fast-paced environment, directly contributing to the reliability and safety of flight operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections, identifying and rectifying any defects or discrepancies.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including fluid checks, lubrication, and component replacements as per scheduled maintenance plans.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on aircraft systems, including engines, landing gear, and flight controls.
• Interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and maintenance instructions to guide repair activities.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance actions performed in the Vereeniging hangar.
• Collaborate effectively with pilots, engineers, and other technicians to ensure aircraft readiness and safety.

Requirements

• Possession of a recognized Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience in line maintenance or heavy maintenance of commercial aircraft.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems, structures, and engines.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and engineering drawings.
