Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic to join our line maintenance team in Centurion, Gauteng. You will perform routine inspections, diagnostic checks, and minor repairs to keep aircraft dispatch-ready between flights.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of line maintenance experience, proficient in reading maintenance manuals and applying engineering orders, with an emphasis on safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Aircraft Mechanic with relevant qualifications and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and directives.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, engines and structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, functional checks, and servicing of aircraft on the flight line.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical discrepancies identified by flight crew or maintenance checks.
• Interpret manuals and engineering orders to perform repairs and modifications.
• Replace and repair aircraft components including engines, landing gear, and airframe structures as required.
• Document all maintenance activities in the logbook and records system.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations and aviation authority requirements.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Aircraft Mechanic to join their line maintenance team in Centurion, Gauteng. This role is vital for ensuring the continued airworthiness of aircraft between flights, performing routine checks, inspections, and minor repairs. You will work closely with the maintenance control center and flight crews to ensure aircraft are ready for dispatch safely and on schedule. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and possesses strong troubleshooting skills for a variety of aircraft types, contributing to the operational integrity and efficiency of the airline's fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, functional checks, and servicing of aircraft on the flight line.
