Job summary

MRI Software is seeking a Content Writer in Cape Town to transform how we produce and deliver documentation for Professional Services. You will turn complex information into clear, accessible content, collaborating with consultants and SMEs, and using AI tools to speed up delivery.

The role supports a hybrid model (3 days from home) and is based in the Cape Town office. Experience with content creation in software environments and strong grammar are essential, along with knowledge of SharePoint

Qualifications

• Experience creating and maintaining content or documentation within software/consulting/implementation environments.
• Strong command of grammar, document structure and professional formatting standards.
• Experience managing structured documentation repositories and version control (e.g. SharePoint).
• Strong capability in modern content creation approaches, with the ability to design content that is clear, reusable and easy to navigate.
• Experience working with a range of tools and platforms (knowledgebases, collaboration tools, video platforms).
• Practical experience using AI-assisted tools (e.g. Copilot, Scribe) to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint with focus on structuring and consumption.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; translate complex topics into clear content.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail; able to work independently.
• Experience in the property sector is desirable, or experience within software/technology environments.
• Positive, proactive mindset with a focus on improving how work gets done.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

• Review existing materials to identify gaps, inconsistencies and improvement opportunities.
• Identify where AI and automation can accelerate content creation and enhance quality.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to create, update and transform client materials.
• Design and deliver modern, user-focused content experiences—structured knowledge bases, guided workflows and interactive content.
• Select formats balancing usability, maintainability and scalability over traditional documents.
• Challenge and evolve documentation approaches to reduce static formats.
• Apply strong grammar, formatting and styling standards for clarity and professionalism.
• Ensure materials are well-structured, easy to navigate and tailored to delivery teams and clients.
• Implement and maintain version control and content management best practices (SharePoint).
• Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date; promote standardized content.
• Gather feedback and refine materials based on usage and project needs.
• Contribute to training, onboarding and implementation materials.
• Support evolving delivery approaches through effective content design.
