Job summary

MRI Software is seeking a Professional Services Statement of Works Writer to define client engagements and produce high-quality SOWs, service estimates and consultancy proposals. The role sits at the intersection of Sales, Professional Services, Product and Delivery, requiring sound commercial judgement and practical delivery experience to ensure successful project outcomes.

Based in the Cape Town office with a hybrid working model (3 days home-based per week), the role supports a global team

Qualifications

• Experience in Professional Services, Consulting, Software Delivery, Pre-Sales, Solution Design, Project Management or related environments.
• Strong commercial awareness balancing customer, delivery and business objectives.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills for complex requirements.
• Proven ability to make informed decisions using available information.
• Strong written communication for professional customer-facing documentation.
• Excellent stakeholder management across multiple functions.
• Identify, assess and communicate delivery, operational and commercial risks.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce Statements of Work across MRI products and service offerings.
• Create accurate services estimates with assumptions, exclusions, dependencies and scope boundaries.
• Translate requirements into deliverable consultancy and implementation engagements.
• Ensure proposals reflect delivery approaches, timelines, and resource needs.
• Assess commercial viability and delivery risks of proposed engagements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Consulting, Project Management, Product and Delivery teams.
• Support governance, reviews, and redline processes for statements of work and proposals.
• Maintain high quality standards across all professional services documents.
