Placements24 in Vereeniging, Gauteng, is seeking an Aftercare Supervisor and Enrichment Program Coordinator to lead a small team of aftercare staff for children aged 6-12. You will design and supervise engaging activities, ensure child safety, and communicate with parents to support holistic development.

The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, planning, and childcare experience, with a patient, positive approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy afterschool

Qualifications

Proven experience with school-aged children in aftercare or youth programs.
Experience planning and leading recreational, educational, and creative activities.
Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
Excellent communication with children, parents, and staff.
Patient, positive, responsible approach to childcare.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
Willingness to commute to Vereeniging, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily aftercare operations for 6–12-year-olds.
Plan and implement enrichment activities including homework help, arts, sports.
Ensure safety and well-being at all times.
Lead and mentor a team of aftercare assistants.
Communicate progress with parents and maintain attendance records.
Ensure space is clean, organized, and well-equipped.
Address behavior issues and conflicts.
