Placements24 is seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst focused on the African continent. The role involves monitoring, analyzing, and disseminating threat intelligence to protect clients across Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, and beyond.

You will translate adversary motivations and capabilities into actionable guidance for security operations. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in cyber threat intelligence, strong geopolitical awareness, and proficiency with OSINT tools and threat intel platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 4+ years in cyber threat intelligence, security analysis, or related role.
• Proven ability to collect, analyze and disseminate threat intel.
• Strong understanding of Africa's geopolitical dynamics and cyber threats.
• Proficiency with OSINT tools and threat intel platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Monitor threat data from OSINT, dark web, and feeds.
• Identify and track threat actors, campaigns, malware, and Africa-focused campaigns.
• Develop threat actor profiles, including TTPs.
• Produce intel reports, briefings, and alerts for technical and executive audiences.
• Provide intelligence to support incident response and vulnerability management.
• Build relationships with external intelligence communities and partners.
• Refine intelligence requirements and collection strategies.
• Research geopolitical events affecting Africa's cyber threat landscape.
