Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Sales Engineer – Africa to join their capital sales team in Jet Park, South Africa. This role focuses on developing new markets, growing customer relationships and delivering fit-for-purpose technical solutions within the crushing, screening and materials processing industry.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with commercial acumen and the ability to operate independently

Qualifications

Proven experience in technical sales, business development or capital equipment sales.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a relevant technical environment.
Demonstrated cross-border sales experience within Sub-Saharan Africa.
Strong commercial and financial understanding.
Experience developing new markets and managing key customer accounts.
Comfortable working independently and across multiple regions.
Strong computer literacy, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Africa.

Responsibilities

Develop new business opportunities across designated African territories.
Identify and open new markets through proactive business development and relationship-based selling.
Conduct cold canvassing and targeted prospecting within identified regions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
Deliver professional sales presentations aligned with customer requirements.
Grow equipment and spares sales across the customer base.
Prepare weekly sales reports, forecasts and pipeline updates.
Provide market intelligence and customer insights to support strategies.
Adhere to ISO requirements and maintain health and safety standards on customer sites.
