Job summary

Isanqa Resourcing is seeking an Advanced Back-End Developer to join the core Software Engineering squad within their global IT Hub, driving the Intelligent & Bidirectional Charging product domain. This role focuses on building and operating high-scale serverless back-end applications on AWS that connect vehicles to global energy ecosystems via OpenAPIs.

You will lead development, testing, and CI/CD within a 4-6 year experience band, with rotation across multiple SA locations and home-office

Qualifications

• 10+ years of production Node.js back-end development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS serverless application development.
• AWS Developer Associate minimum certification (Professional preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serverless Development: Build, optimize, and maintain event-driven Node.js microservices and OpenAPIs on AWS Lambda.
• 24/7 Operational Support: Monitor applications via CloudWatch, enforce cloud security patterns, and resolve production incidents.
• IaC & Deployment: Automate infrastructure provisioning using CloudFormation/Terraform and maintain continuous delivery pipelines.
• Leadership & Coaching: Mentor team members, coordinate with external energy partners, and lead technical delivery within Agile sprints.

Our Client is seeking an Advanced Back-End Developer to join the core Software Engineering squad within their global IT Hub, driving the "Intelligent & Bidirectional Charging" product domain.

This cutting-edge e-mobility product manages solar-, cost-, and CO -optimized charging plans, wallbox IoT connectivity, and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) / Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) power pool use cases.

In this role, you will build and operate high scale serverless backend applications on AWS that connect vehicles directly to global energy ecosystems via OpenAPIs.

• Serverless Node.js Mastery: 10+ years of production experience in Node.js development, with 5+ years specializing in AWS serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, S3).
• Automated Testing & IaC: 5+ years of automated testing (unit tests, end-to-end testing) alongside Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation (preferred) or Terraform.
• Team Leadership & Cloud Operations: Proven experience leading IT teams, managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), and operating 24/7 cloud applications using AWS CloudWatch.

• Level: Advanced (4-6 years related experience)

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant IT Degree or equivalent commercial experience.
• Minimum of 10+ years of production Node.js back-end development experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years of hands‑on AWS serverless application development.
• AWS Cloud Certification (AWS Developer Associate minimum, Professional preferred).

Essential Skills & Technologies:

• Back-End & Serverless: 10+ years Node.js; 5+ years AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, and S3.
• IaC & Automation: CloudFormation (preferred), Terraform, and GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows.
• Testing & Quality: 5+ years automated testing (unit and E2E test suites), code compliance, and ISO-standard technical documentation.
• Databases & Networking: SQL and NoSQL databases, virtual networks (VPC, on-prem connectivity), and CloudWatch log analytics.

Advantageous Skills:

• Domain exposure to E-Mobility, smart charging, and energy ecosystem integrations.
• Background in linear/nonlinear optimization and algorithm complexity analysis.
• Java development capabilities and performance tuning.
