Job summary

EdUpStairs in South Africa is looking for a procurement and supply chain professional to manage end-to-end procurement, warehousing and stock control withinLOGIS-based workflows. You will ensure accurate documentation, supplier follow-ups and stock integrity across the supply chain.

The role requires a strong understanding of LOGIS and IPS systems, proficiency in MS Excel/Word, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Mathematics and/or Accounting as passed subjects on Senior Certificate or equivalent.
• Experience in procurement, asset management, warehousing and IPS procurement.
• Valid B/EB driver’s license.
• Physically fit to lift heavy items.
• Knowledge of LOGIS system and procurement management.
• Experience obtaining quotations on IPS.
• Computer literacy in MS Excel and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Supply chain functions.
• Ensure proper filing of documentation pertaining to receiving, issuing, and recording on LOGIS systems and filing of source documents.
• Regular stock counts and prevention of shortages and surpluses.
• Prevent theft, report discrepancies to supervisor and senior management.
• Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid shortages/out-outs.
• Follow up on outstanding deliveries with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and prescripts related to Supply Chain Management.
• Participate during institutional assets counts as determined by management.

Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior certificate
• (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focus on the Key Performance Areas (KRA’s)of the post.
• Experience: Appropriate experience in procurement, asset management, warehousing and on Procurement (Electronic Procurement System).
• Inherent requirements of the job: Valid B/EB driver’s licence.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.
• Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge and or practical experience of the LOGIS System, Warehousing and Procurement management functions and functional
• experience in obtaining quotations on an electronic purchasing system (IPS).
• Computer literacy (MS Excel and Word).
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Duties

• Responsible to conduct regular stock count and prevent shortages and surpluses within area of responsibility.
• Responsible to prevent theft, damages and report any discrepancies to supervisor and senior management.
• Responsible to maintain minimum and maximum stock level to avoid stock shortages/ out- outs.
• Follow up on outstanding deliveries (orders) with the supplier.
• Ensure compliance to all relevant laws and prescripts related to Supply Chain Management.
• Responsible to partake during institutional assets counts as determined by management.
