Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Addiction Counsellor to join a rehabilitation center in George. You will conduct individual and group counseling, develop personalized treatment plans, and support relapse prevention within the Western Cape community.

The role requires at least 3 years of experience, a relevant qualification, and registration as an Addiction Counsellor, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality and ethical practice.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Professional certification or registration as an Addiction Counsellor.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working directly with individuals with addiction.
• Knowledge of addiction theories, CBT/DBT, motivational interviewing.
• Excellent active listening, empathy, and communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Confidentiality and ethical practice in client care.
• Driver's license is advantageous for George-area outreach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on client needs.
