Job description

An accounting company with more than 25 years of experience is seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Accounts Clerk.

The incumbent must have at least 2 years of experience in an accounting environment and a good understanding of financial concepts, problem-solving skills, and ethics.

Skills required:

• Independently manage a portfolio of clients and proactively address clients’ needs.
• Statutory returns submission, including SARS and WCC.
• Solid understanding and interpretation of annual financial statements and management accounts.
• Advanced Pastel and CaseWare experience.
• Confidence with monthly PAYE and salary calculations, and ability to handle EMP501 reconciliations accurately.
• Good communication skills.
• Accuracy, organisation, and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Team player who is adaptable and deadline driven.
• Audit experience will be advantageous.
