Job summary

GAP Consulting in the Western Cape seeks an Accountant / Trainee Accountant for a busy accounting practice in Malmesbury. The role requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience, a BAcc or BCompt, SAIPA Articles (completed or in progress), and strong proficiency in Sage, CaseWare, IQ and GreatSoft.

Fluency in Afrikaans and English is essential; reference checks and payslips will be requested. Salary is negotiable based on experience, with an emphasis on growth in a supportive practice.

Qualifications

• 2 years' plus experience in an accounting practice environment
• BAcc or BCompt degree or equivalent qualification
• Completed SAIPA Articles or currently busy with SAIPA Articles
• Proficient in Sage, CaseWare, IQ and GreatSoft
• Strong knowledge of Accounting, Annual Financial Statements, Taxation and accounting workflows
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English (written and verbal)
• Contactable references and payslips
