Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics, Port Elizabeth, seeks an Account Manager to oversee designated key accounts and grow the portfolio through effective client retention and freight forwarding expertise.

You will manage RFQs, tenders, and customer communications, coordinating with operations and finance to resolve issues and drive revenue growth. This position emphasizes relationship management and strategic account development in a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in Freight Forwarding environment end to end process.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a client retention capacity.
• Experience in managing freight RFQ's and tenders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with customer queries and coordinate with operations to resolve.
• Support operations with out-of-ordinary freight requirements such as CODs or handcarrys.
• Update and maintain CRM system (MS Dynamics).
• Attend weekly operational meetings with customers.
• Conduct weekly, monthly and bi-monthly meetings with clients (target 8 calls per week / CBRS & QBRs).
• Prepare monthly management reports and present to customers.
• Manage customer statements and overdue accounts, coordinating with operations and finance to resolve invoice queries.
• Maintain and update rate profiles.
• Manage CSP surveys and feedback.
• Identify opportunities for additional revenue and business growth within designated portfolio.
• Manage debtors with the client for queries, payments and terms.
• Manage customer tenders and RFQs to secure existing business and gain additional lanes.
