Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a skilled Sous Chef for a prestigious luxury hotel in George. You will lead a busy kitchen, ensure five-star food quality, and manage production, service, and back-of-house operations in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a 3-year Chef's Diploma, 6+ years of culinary experience including 3 years as Sous Chef in a 5-star setting, strong leadership, and SAP/finance awareness. Live-out position with competitive salary based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-year Chef's Diploma from an internationally recognized institution.
• At least 6 years of culinary experience, with 3 years in a Sous Chef role within a 5-star hotel or resort.
• Classical training and solid foundation in fine dining techniques.

Responsabilités

• Support the management and quality control of all culinary operations including Food Production, Food Service, Catering Event Planning, and Back of House
• Deliver a 5-star culinary offering across all outlets and restaurants
• Stay up to date with evolving guest dining trends and introduce creative, cost-effective menu innovations
• Monitor stock usage and design menu items that maximize inventory efficiency
• Assist with planning, budgeting, and procurement to ensure seamless kitchen operations
• Control costs by analyzing recipes and assigning prices based on food, labor, and overhead expenses
• Maintain operational efficiencies and uphold culinary excellence in all dishes prepared and served
• Train, mentor, and guide junior kitchen staff, setting clear standards and ensuring strong team performance
• Uphold all SHEQ and FCS standards within each kitchen division
