Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a prestigious luxury hotel in Midrand, Gauteng. You will oversee daily operations, maintain high culinary standards and ensure a superior dining experience for guests.

The ideal candidate has proven luxury-hotel kitchen leadership, strong cost control and staff development skills, and a passion for creative menus and flawless presentation. Live-out position; salary negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• Head Chef experience in luxury hotel or high-end hospitality.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.
• Creative approach to menus and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the kitchen team and daily operations.
• Oversee food preparation, presentation and service across the property.
• Develop and maintain high culinary standards.
• Plan menus and contribute creative ideas for guest dining.
• Monitor food quality, portions, stock and wastage.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Manage kitchen costs and budgets; achieve food cost targets.
• Train and mentor junior and senior kitchen staff.
• Manage rosters and staffing; coordinate with management.
• Collaborate with hotel management to ensure excellent guest service.
• Maintain a clean, organized and professional kitchen.
