Qualifications

• Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC issues.
• Repair or replace defective components.
• Assist with installation of new equipment and ensure proper connections.
• Maintain records of maintenance and repairs.
• Train crew on proper operation and maintenance procedures.
• Follow safety procedures and regulations onboard.
• Keep inventory of spare parts and supplies.
• Communicate issues to Chief Refrigeration Engineer and collaborate on solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chief Refrigerator Engineer in maintaining and repairing all refrigeration and air conditioning systems On Board Cruise Ship
• Perform routine maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with refrigeration and air conditioning systems
• Repair or replace defective parts as needed
• Assist with the installation of new equipment and ensure it is properly connected and functioning
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
• Train other crew members on proper operation and maintenance procedures for refrigeration and air conditioning systems
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations while working onboard the vessel
• Keep inventory of spare parts and supplies and ensure they are properly stored and maintained
• Communicate any issues or concerns to the Chief Refrigerator Engineer and work together to find solutions

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with refrigeration and air conditioning systems, preferably in a marine environment
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and principles
• Familiarity with refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, including compressors, evaporators, and condensers
