Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking an IT Operations Engineer for a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. The role covers broad IT support across production plants, incident triage, and incident management with a strong emphasis on communication and teamwork.

Fluency in English and German is required, and the incumbent will work in shifts to ensure continuous operations. The ideal candidate has Matric, at least 2 years IT experience, and an IT qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 2 years IT-related working experience.
• Verbal and written fluency in English and German.
• IT qualification is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support for all Company Plants.
• Receive telephone calls and log IT issues related to production.
• Pre-qualify IT incidents and classify relationships.
• Fix incidents in IT systems per user manuals.
• Monitor IT system error messages and process accordingly.
• Provide guidance throughout incident management processes.
• Initiate the IT escalation process when required.
• Serve as information channel for management and end users.
• Work shifts as part of a team providing 24x7x365 support.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
