Job summary

GoLean Health is seeking a highly capable Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support a busy chiropractic clinic. This remote role is 30 hours per week at $6/hour, with a performance-based increase after 6 months.

The ideal candidate is sharp, proactive, detail-oriented, emotionally intelligent, and able to own clinic workflows with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include insurance verification, denied claims management, EOB processing, patient balances, claims processing, payment

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be a Mac OS user.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document updates.
• Review denied claims, identify denial reasons, and assist with reprocessing.
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits documents and clear backlogs.
• Review outstanding balances and coordinate resolution.
• Support claims-related workflows including Cigna and VA claims.
• Assist with vendor payment coordination and timely payments.
• Monitor SOAP note completion, accuracy, and compliance.
• Track missed/canceled appointments and scheduling trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/canceled appointments, EOB backlog, and claims.
• Facilitate communication between provider, care team, and admin staff.
• Identify workflow gaps and recommend solutions to improve efficiency.
