Job summary

Go Lean Health is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support a chiropractic clinic remotely. This 30-hour-per-week role pays $5–$6.50 per hour, with a performance-based increase after 6 months.

The MVA will handle insurance verification, billing tasks, and clinic operations to ease the provider's load. Essential duties include processing insurance, EOBs, denied claims, patient balances, vendor payments, SOAP notes, appointment tracking, and reporting, while maintaining strong English

Qualifications

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High accountability and professional communication style.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document accurately.
• Review denied claims, identify reasons, and assist with reprocessing.
• Process Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents and clear backlogs.
• Review outstanding patient balances and coordinate resolution.
• Support claims workflows for Cigna and VA, escalate as needed.
• Assist with vendor payment coordination and on-time processing.
• Monitor SOAP note completion and quality, flag gaps.
• Track missed/cancelled appointments and identify trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/cancelled appointments, EOB backlog, and denials with actionable insights.
• Coordinate smooth communication between provider, care team, and staff.
• Identify workflow gaps and propose practical efficiency improvements.
