Job summary

Happy Hearts Fund (Now All Hands and Hearts - Smart Response) seeks a full-time Construction/Program Assistant to help manage disaster response and recovery projects. You will support the Project Manager with scope, milestones, timelines and budgets, and assist in coordinating volunteers and site safety.

Strong Spanish and English communication is preferred. Role involves regular site visits, adherence to construction standards, and collaboration with the team to ensure timely delivery of

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, civil or structural engineering preferred.
• Experience in construction-related projects is desirable.
• Strong organizational and communication skills in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in developing scope-of-work, milestones, timelines and budgets.
• Update tracking systems (Salesforce, LW tracking, MS Project) and coordinate volunteer management.
• Assist with drawings and plans and explain to construction team.
• Support quality control visits to sites and enforce safety and work practices.
• Help organize procurement processes and subcontractor vetting.
• Contribute to monthly program reports and training of staff.
