Job summary

All Hands and Hearts Smart Response, Inc seeks a technical WASH coordinator to lead design, implementation, monitoring and external coordination of emergency sanitation, water-treatment and hygiene activities for earthquake-affected communities. Open to qualified national and international candidates.

The role involves supervising assessments, developing response strategies, and ensuring safety, data management and reporting across field teams and partners in challenging post-disaster

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering, public health, water resources or related field.
• 1–2 years implementing emergency WASH programs, with experience in two of sanitation, water treatment, filtration, water quality or hygiene promotion.
• Spanish language fluency required; working knowledge of English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and monitor emergency WASH activities per Sphere standards.
• Lead WASH assessments on water access, sanitation, hygiene and needs.
• Prepare response strategies, technical designs, BOQs, specifications, work plans and procedures.
• Oversee installation of emergency sanitation, handwashing, filtration solutions.
• Provide technical oversight and coaching to field teams, partners and vendors.
• Represent All Hands and Hearts in WASH coordination forums and with authorities and NGOs.
• Implement WASH health and safety measures and incident reporting.
