A leading inspection firm is seeking a qualified candidate in Ozark, Alabama to conduct inspections of electrical and IT systems. The candidate must have an ICC certification as a Commercial Electrical Inspector and at least 3 years of experience in electrical inspections, particularly for building construction. Job Description
Benefits:
Conduct comprehensive daily inspections of electrical and IT systems across building and terminal construction projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and project specifications, review and interpret construction documents including blueprints and shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
Demonstrates strong proficiency in preparing comprehensive daily inspection reports that clearly document the WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, and HOW of all observed construction activities, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and accountability in tracking progress and identifying issues, deficiencies, or safety concerns in a timely manner.
Verify contractor compliance with local and electrical codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70, 70E,72) and LAWA-specific standards.
Track and document time-and-material work, field changes, and job quantities
Assist in validating contractor progress payment requests based on an approved schedule of values.
Support special inspections and testing activities, coordinating with engineers, contractors, and third-party agencies as needed.
