Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
- Managing client relationships and being a go-to resource for their tax needs.
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff and seniors.
- Leading tax planning projects and identifying new opportunities for clients.
- Researching and resolving complex tax issues.
- Participating in client meetings and communicating tax concepts clearly and simply.
- Managing deadlines and keeping projects moving smoothly.
Qualifications
- CPA license (or actively pursuing it).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Solid knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Comfortable with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, UltraTax, or similar).
- Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal.
- Someone who can prioritize and manage multiple projects at once.
