Job summary

Tulsa Zoo Management, Inc. is seeking a Security Supervisor to help maintain a safe environment for guests, staff, and animals. You will co-supervise security personnel and enforce policies to protect zoo property and people.

The role requires leading a team, responding to incidents, and coordinating with the Director of Safety & Security. A strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and teamwork is essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and 1–2 years related experience or training.
• Must be 21 years or older and have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively to groups.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint or equivalent tools.

Responsibilities

• Co-supervise a security team and ensure 24/7 security presence as needed.
• Enforce security policies and protect zoo property, guests, employees and animals.
• Act as first responder for incidents, including CPR/AED/first aid and incident management.
• Record and report zoo incidents and injuries in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with Director of Safety & Security on security operations and improvements.
• Maintain access-control systems, keys, radios, and gate codes for staff and vendors.
• Provide oversight to Security Officers and conduct performance-related activities.
