Job summary

The Abilene Zoological Gardens is seeking an entry level Guest Services representative to deliver friendly customer service, assist with sales, and support daily operations. You will greet visitors, answer questions, process payments, and help with reservations and paperwork.

Responsibilities include handling calls, managing guest inquiries, supporting managers, and ensuring safety and smooth visitor flow in outdoor and indoor areas, including potential vehicle or equipment operation for ages

Qualifications

• Entry level position; prior customer service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Food Handler's Permit or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct visitors to the Abilene Zoo and answer general questions.
• Provide administrative support to the Guest Service Managers and Assistant Managers.
• Assist with customer service tasks including inquiries, directions, and information on zoo functions.
• Process calls, cash register payments, reservations, visitation paperwork, ride/equipment operations.
• Maintain, inspect, clean, take inventory, and follow policies and procedures of equipment and spaces.
• Assist with guest surveys and reports.
• Operate city vehicle and/or motorized equipment for guests 18+ when required.
