Job summary

Abilene Zoological Gardens invites applications for an operations worker to support Zoo events such as Boo at the Zoo, Christmas Celebration, and Wild Days, plus after-hour rentals. You will assist with setup, takedown, event operations, customer service, cleanup, and related duties as assigned.

Under supervision, you will handle inventory, operate a golf cart and other small machinery, and maintain safe, clean event spaces. A flexible schedule and weather-related shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Entry level position, customer service preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Set up, serve, buss, takedown, and clean for events.
• Follow event timelines and menu details.
• Maintain clean, safe event spaces and inventory.
• Provide excellent customer service to rental contacts.
• Operate golf carts, utility vehicles, and small machinery.
