The Highlands at Harbor Springs, part of Boyne Resorts, is seeking friendly Host/Hostess candidates for full-time and part-time seasonal roles. You will be the first point of contact, greeting guests, assisting with seating and reservations, and helping keep dining areas running smoothly.

Ideal candidates are team players who communicate well, pay attention to detail, and are willing to step in as needed. Weekend and holiday availability is required to support peak service periods.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

As a Host/Hostess, you are often the first point of contact for our guests and play an important role in creating a welcoming, memorable experience. Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Create a positive impression for our guests by welcoming them with a smile and eye contact. Engage the guest in conversation and encourage them to return.
• Answer telephone and respond appropriately.
• Take delivery and To-Go orders.
• Handle payment transactions.
• Communicate with the kitchen regarding the number of reservations, large groups, and current seating pace.
• Ensure that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality guest service.
• Set up or restock product and service items.
• Take outthegarbage and wipe down counters and equipment.
• Respond promptly and courteously to any customer requests.
• Assist fellow team members as needed.
• Answer questions about our food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services.
• Communicates absences and schedule changes promptly.
• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment

Qualifications

• Must have SafeServ Certification or be able to obtain one after being hired
• Prior Experience with Point-of-Sale system preferred but not required
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while standing for long hours on your feet.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
