Job summary

City of Riverside (OH) seeks a mid-level Zoning Administrator in the Community Development Department to interpret, explain, and enforce the city's zoning codes while promoting growth and compliance.

Under the Community Development Director, you will collaborate with the Planning Commission, the Board of Zoning Appeals, and the CRA Housing Council, and you will prepare reports, maps, and presentations for projects and plans.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in urban planning, Public Administration, a related field, and/or two years of urban planning/public administration experience.
• Understanding zoning principles and regulations; ability to interpret and apply zoning codes.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, explain, and enforce the City’s zoning codes and permits process.
• Provide zoning administrative support to the public and explain development review procedures.
• Prepare reports, maps, charts, and presentations to support plans and projects.
• Conduct field investigations for zoning, development, and nuisance cases.
• Serve as Housing Officer for the CRA program and liaise with CRA Housing Council.
• Coordinate with Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, and other boards.
