Role Description

The Zoning Administrator is a full-time, on-site role located in the Grand Rapids Metropolitan Area. This position is responsible for reviewing zoning permit applications, interpreting and applying zoning ordinances, and ensuring land use compliance with local regulations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site and plan reviews, responding to inquiries from property owners, developers, and the public, and preparing reports and documentation related to zoning decisions. The role also involves collaborating with planning staff and local officials, attending hearings or meetings as needed, and maintaining accurate records of zoning activities. The Zoning Administrator supports consistent enforcement of codes and contributes to orderly community development.
