Job summary

The City of Richmond Heights is seeking an experienced Building & Zoning Administrator to lead the administration of building, zoning, permitting, inspection, and code enforcement activities. The Administrator will oversee departmental operations, ensure compliance with codes and ordinances, coordinate with residents, contractors, developers, and local officials, and provide leadership to department staff.

Qualifications

Three to five years of experience in building, zoning, planning, code enforcement, or municipal administration.
A related degree and applicable certifications may be required.
Bachelor's degree with coursework in engineering or building technology, or related field and extensive experience in construction, regulatory enforcement and supervision, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the administration of building, zoning, permitting, inspection, and code enforcement activities.
Oversee departmental operations and ensure compliance with codes and ordinances.
Coordinate with residents, contractors, developers, and local officials.
