Job summary

University of Georgia is seeking a Night Shift Skilled Trades Worker to support the plumbing and mechanical systems across campus. The role requires following safety procedures, performing routine maintenance, and assisting with building infrastructure projects during evening hours.

• Knowledge of the occupational hazards of: mechanical and electrical building equipment; tools and equipment associated with maintenance activities
• Ability to relate well with others (customers, co-workers, supervisors, etc…)
• Ability to learn and use basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform routine troubleshooting of MEP systems.
• Ability to perform administrative functions related to building systems maintenance (complete forms, record filing, etc.)

• Stand, walk, climb stairs, crawl, stoop, bend, squat, work with hands above head and work from standard and/or extended ladder
• Lift 75 lbs during a normal work shift.
