Job summary

Ardelyx is seeking a Zone Access Manager (ZAM) to lead patient access initiatives across defined geographies. You will work closely with Area Business Directors and Care Coordinators to optimize payer access, guide HCPs, and educate on patient assistance programs.

The role requires 5+ years in field access or reimbursement, strong knowledge of specialty pharmacy, and travel up to 30%. It is a primarily virtual role with occasional in-person engagements, offering base pay of $131k-$160k plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of field access or reimbursement management experience or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of specialty pharmacy and health insurance (Medicare Part D, commercial, Medicaid).
• Experience with benefit verification, prior authorization, reimbursement coverage, appeals, and patient financial assistance programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management across the patient access journey with internal stakeholders and HCPs.
• Collaborate with ABDs and Care Coordinators to map the patient’s access team.
• Educate HCPs and office staff on patient assistance programs and tools.
• Serve as payer access expert, communicating coverage updates and policy changes.
• Identify market access trends and communicate insights to cross-functional teams.
• Maintain knowledge of HUB and specialty pharmacy channels to support HCPs.
• Share customer insights and access opportunities with field teams and home office.
• Partner with sales leadership to deliver best-in-class patient services.
• Conduct activities in line with Ardelyx values and regulatory standards.
• Engage mostly virtually with occasional in-person meetings as needed.
