Job summary

Xeris Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Patient Access Manager I to work remotely within the US field-based model, coordinating with patients, families, and providers to navigate insurance, prior authorizations, and access barriers.

The role emphasizes education and advocacy across payers and care teams. The PAM I will resolve access issues, provide disease/product education, and support caregivers while collaborating with commercial and medical teams to enable therapy initiation and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences, Business/Marketing, Nursing or related field; Advanced degree preferred or equivalent.
• Must have a valid US-State issued driver’s license.
• Prefer a minimum of 3 years of business experience in healthcare/biotech, especially ultra-rare disease.
• Experience with insurance reimbursement, prior authorization and appeals.
• Knowledge of Commercial payers, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement processes.

Responsibilities

• Confirm consent and work with patients/families to access therapy, including insurance navigation and prior authorization.
• Provide education on PA/appeals and coordinate documentation to maintain coverage.
• Offer solutions including alternative insurance options and connect to resources.
• Interact with internal teams and external stakeholders; serve as point person for issues affecting initiation and ongoing therapy.
• Support caregivers and coordinate with them for progress.
