Memphis Zoo seeks a Zip Line Rides Operator to assist with daily zip line operations in a safe, efficient manner and to foster a positive atmosphere with riders.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, delivering safety presentations, ensuring riders are seated properly, and verifying restraints before dispatch. The role requires attention to safety guidelines and adherence to policies to protect guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate rides and attractions according to safety protocols.
• Monitor and inspect rides and attractions for safety.
• Load and unload passengers in a safe and timely manner.
• Provide customer service to guests, including answering questions and providing assistance.
• Collect tickets or payment for rides.
• Enforce all safety regulations and stay current with safety rules and procedures.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Relieving other team members for breaks.
• Review and adhere to required operating and safety manuals, completed required training.
• Operators must give undivided attention to the operation of the ride at all times. Under no circumstances may the operator leave their post while ride is in operation.
• Employees in this role may provide coverage to other operating rides, as needed.
