Boulder County Public Works Department seeks a Zero Waste Program Manager to lead the county's zero waste programs within the Resource Conservation Division. The role supervises mountain transfer stations, hauler licensing, and related outreach, with responsibilities spanning budgets, policy implementation, and service delivery across Boulder County.

The position is full-time with benefits, mostly Monday–Friday, and offers a hybrid schedule from home and the 1901 63rd Street office in Boulder,

Qualifications

• 8 years combined education and experience in environmental studies, public administration, business administration or related field, and/or experience with zero waste or sustainability.
• Experience leading programs and coordinating multiple sites or facilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coordinates, and directs zero waste program activities.
• Manages mountain transfer stations and staff across locations.
• Develops, implements, and oversees recycling, composting and other diversion programs.
• Monitors budgets, generates reports, and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Represents the division and provides technical guidance to staff and partners.
