Job summary

The City and County of Broomfield is seeking a Recycling Technician to support the Recycling Center, residential waste services, and related waste streams in compliance with laws and regulations. You will assist with administrative duties, education outreach, and data-driven program improvements.

The ideal candidate is customer service oriented and proficient with digital tools to advance sustainability goals and engage with the community on zero-waste initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience in hazardous materials management or public education programs.
Ability to use data to support waste-diversion planning.
Customer service and community outreach experience.

Responsibilities

Manage recycling center operations and ensure facility hygiene.
Provide recycling guidance and promote reuse-and-reduce strategies.
Collect data, track metrics, and support diversion program planning.
Assist with residential waste services program administration and outreach.
Deliver zero-waste education and train community partners.
