Job summary

Credence is seeking a Technical Writer to support Air Combat Command at Scott AFB, IL. You will craft IT policies, governance documents, and implementation guides, ensuring alignment with DoD standards and ZT guidance.

The role requires collaboration across IT teams and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. You will work on architecture diagrams, risk analyses, and operational documentation, with emphasis on security standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years IT experience with policy, strategy, and governance.
• Experience with Air Force or DoD enterprise infrastructure and policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with documentation tools and software.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust and NIST framework.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and maintain IT policies, strategies, and governance documents.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to gather technical and procedural information.
• Ensure documentation complies with Air Force or DoD standards and guidelines.
• Create clear, concise documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Review and edit team documentation for consistency and quality.
• Produce architecture diagrams, implementation guides, and security configuration guides.
• Support policy, CONOPS, CONIMP, and other docs for cyber security and DoD guidance.
• Maintain knowledge of current policies and regulations related to ZT.
