Job summary

Credence in Illinois is seeking a Senior Subject Matter Specialist (Tech Lead) to support Air Combat Command’s Zero Trust initiatives at Scott AFB and other sites nationwide. You will provide expert-level guidance on cybersecurity architecture, risk management, and DoD/NIST/RMF compliance, leading secure IT modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• DoD/AF enterprise infrastructure experience.
• Experience with DoD policies, RMF and NIST guidance.
• Ability to lead enterprise cybersecurity projects in complex environments.
• Mentor junior cybersecurity staff and coordinate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity architecture, risk management and compliance.
• Lead and support implementation of cybersecurity controls per NIST, RMF and DoD.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design secure IT solutions.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability analysis and incident response planning.
• Develop executive-level briefings and metrics for oversight.
