Responsibilities

• Coaches and mentors staff to develop and deliver safe work programs and behaviors.
• Inspects workplaces to ensure compliance with federal/state laws and company policies.
• Develops, writes and updates safety policies, procedures and training programs.
• Oversees safety training programs and maintains attendance records.
• Monitors safety activities, conducts near-miss and incident investigations, and develops corrective actions.
• Researches safety metrics and maintains records to comply with regulations.
• Investigates accidents and incidents to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
• Performs environmental monitoring and acts as the competent person as required by law.
